A laboratory air compressor is an experimental piece of equipment with the qualities of continuous and stable operation, ease of use, safety, environmental protection, and energy efficiency. These equipment are used in a wide range of applications in the research, medical, education, and pharmaceutical industries. They are also used in various research labs and production rooms to administer clean, dry, and compressed air. Air compressors must be efficient, silent, and safe, as the industries that use the laboratory air compressor require clean and contaminated-free compressed air.
We are among the top laboratory air compressor manufacturers in India that design and manufacture excellent quality medical equipment, including laboratory air compressors to clean, compress, and dry air and various other equipment that are used to store and preserve tissue cultures, reagents, etc.
The working of a laboratory air compressor is based on the following stages –
Basic working principle of air compressor –
Neither the intake nor the exhaust valves are set during the intake process. The only way to alter the air intake is by opening and shutting the automatic adjustment valve. The space of the valve expands when the tooth slot space of the main and auxiliary rotor is spun toward the housing inlet. During this moment, the slot area under the rotor is connected to the air inlet’s unoccupied space. When air is expelled from the valve, the tooth groove becomes under vacuum, and outside air is sucked in and flows axially into the tooth grooves of the main and auxiliary rotors. When the entire tooth groove is filled with air, the rotor’s air inlet side end turns away from the housing’s air inlet.
Sealed conveying process –
At the end of the suction process of the laboratory air compressor, the teeth of the main rotor and sub-rotor are sealed with the housing, preventing air from escaping from the tooth grooves; this is the closing process. As the two rotors continue to rotate, their tooth peaks and tooth slots come together at the suction end of the air compressor, and the mating surface progressively travels toward the discharge end of the air compressor, therefore initiating a gas transfer process.
Compression process and oil injection process –
In the process of transportation, the anastomosis surface gradually moves toward the exhaust port of the air compressor. In the process of moving, the space between the anastomosis surface and the exhaust port of the air compressor is gradually reduced, in contrast to the air in the tooth groove is gradually compressed, thus increasing the pressure, which is the compression process. During the compression process, the lubricant is sprayed into the compression chamber to mix with the air due to the pressure difference in the action.
Exhaust process –
When the rotor exhaust port end face is linked to the housing exhaust port, the compressed gas is expelled from the air compressor. This discharge process continues until the mating surface between the top of the tooth and the tooth groove of the air compressor travels to the exhaust end of the housing. The venting procedure of the air compressor is accomplished when the distance between the two rotor mating surfaces and the housing exhaust outlet is zero. At the same time, the length of the gap between the rotor mating surface and the housing inlet is stretched again to start a fresh compression cycle in the laboratory air compressor.
Standard equipment used for laboratory applications –
Laboratory applications need specific air compressor products to ensure that university research labs and production rooms remain dry and clean. With many years of experience serving various industries, we provide equipment best suited for these specific applications. We commonly see the following products used for the laboratory application –
